WebJun 26, 2024 · Just for total clarity: You can use GL4 or 5 rated gear oil in the transmission and transfer case. You MUST use GL5 rated gear oil in the differentials-ie don't use the MT-90 in the differentials. Use GL5 80W-90. That Chevron Synthetic Gear Oil I mentioned above can be used in all since has both and MT-1 and GL5 rating. Replacement plugs are available from Toyota, but if you want to avoid this problem in the future, get the allen head replacements - way easier to work with. how do i convert net to gross
